📋 Description

• Build a product-oriented, self-service Data Platform services offering • Define reusable patterns, standardized ingestion and transformation services, associated SLAs, and responsibilities between Forge and the Feature Teams • Develop and industrialize a Snowflake-centered data platform for Data Engineering, Analytics, Machine Learning, and GenAI • Optimize platform performance, security, and costs • Design and operate the Data Platform infrastructure on AWS using cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven architectures • Define security, IAM, networking, observability, and resilience standards using Infrastructure as Code • Ensure operational excellence through DevOps and DataOps, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, alerting, and service reliability • Serve as a technical authority and advisor to the teams • Design onboarding journeys, produce documentation, lead communities of practice, and promote cloud, data, security, and FinOps standards • Accelerate Data Science, Machine Learning, and GenAI initiatives and support the platform’s growth and scalability

🎯 Requirements

• Engineering degree, university Master’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Data, Cloud Computing, or Information Systems • 5+ years of experience working with large-scale data platforms • Experience in a Data Mesh or highly self-service data environment is highly desirable • Snowflake: advanced administration, security (RBAC, network policies), performance and cost optimization, Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, and Snowpark • AWS: cloud-native and serverless architectures, IAM, KMS, VPC, PrivateLink, observability, S3, Lambda, ECS, and MSK • DevOps & DataOps: GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Terraform Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, infrastructure testing, environment management, SLOs/SLAs, and incident management • dbt & Astronomer/Airflow: transformation patterns, data pipeline orchestration, and deployment workflows across multi-team environments • Knowledge of FinOps, industrial-scale ML/GenAI use cases, and Data Mesh/platform-as-a-product concepts is a plus • SnowPro Core or Advanced certification is highly desirable • AWS Solutions Architect certification is highly desirable • Ability to document, explain complex concepts clearly, and support Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and ML Engineers • Experience working in an English-speaking environment
