• Assist with complex and significant banking and finance disputes on a per-engagement basis • Apply legal expertise, sound judgement, and analysis of complex legal issues • Work collaboratively with experienced Ombudsmen, lawyers, and industry experts • Draw on specialist resources, research capability, and dispute resolution frameworks • Deliver independent, fair, and balanced decisions • Contribute to meaningful outcomes for consumers, small businesses, and the financial services sector
• Accomplished senior lawyer, former Partner, barrister, executive legal leader, or banking and finance professional • Deep banking and finance industry expertise • Sound judgement and a strong track record of achievement • Experience with banking regulation, Banking Codes of Practice, contract law, insolvency, securities, lending, and dispute resolution • Ability to navigate complex legal and commercial issues with credibility, pragmatism, and fairness • Strong communication and influence skills, with empathy • Ability to balance independence with collaboration • Commitment to fair, objective outcomes and the highest standards of integrity and impartiality • Legal qualifications • Substantial senior-level experience within banking and finance, a tribunal, regulator, external dispute resolution scheme, or related environment • Ability to work in a flexible, per-engagement environment
