📋 Description

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and supporting delivery. • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle. • Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on risk and trade-off decisions. • Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues. • Support artifact operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and participating in keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts. • Set and improve code review and design standards, advocating for quality and ownership through writing and tech talks. • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example. • Participate in the required on-call rotation. • Build backend systems supporting real-time transaction processing, ledgering, and reconciliation for transparent credit cards.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale • Experience with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Experience shipping front-end applications • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs • Ability to write high-quality, easily understood code • Proficiency making significant changes in large codebases safely • Suite of tools and practices enabling safe changes to large codebases • Demonstrated ownership of professional growth and proactive feedback-seeking • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team • Required participation in an on-call rotation • Must be based in Spain; visa sponsorship is available
