📋 Description

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases • Collaborate with product management, design and analytics during ideation and decision-making • Articulate technical constraints and assess risks and trade-offs • Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts • Escalate operational issues and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts • Participate in growth and development activities, including interviews • Develop and implement complex backend systems enabling seamless Affirm Card checkout experiences • Partner with backend and mobile engineers, product, design and analytics to build scalable Card products

🎯 Requirements

• Based in Spain • 2+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems • Proficient in Python or Kotlin • Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes • Ability to write high-quality, understandable, well-tested and extensible code • Comfortable navigating a large code base and debugging others' code • Ability to provide feedback through code reviews • Ability to develop solutions interacting with multiple software components • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
