📋 Description

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases • Collaborate with product management, design and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks and trade-offs • Support the operations and availability of team artifacts • Create and monitor metrics and escalate when needed • Support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts • Participate in growth and development activities, including the interview process • Develop and implement complex software systems for a seamless card checkout experience • Build scalable systems and experiences powering Affirm Card products

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems • Proficiency in Python or Kotlin • Familiarity with distributed systems • Familiarity with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes • Ability to write high-quality, understandable code • Comfortable navigating a large code base and debugging others' code • Experience providing code review feedback • Ability to design solutions involving multiple software components • Ability to write clear, well-tested and extensible code • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate with a global engineering team
