📋 Description

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale and connect it to critical, business-impacting projects • Shape the Recoveries platform and drive cross-team technical initiatives • Optimize recovery strategies and enable flexible customer-facing experiences • Strengthen the reliability and scalability of financial and partner integrations • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle • Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes • Own team operations and availability, including monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, alerting, and on-call efforts • Establish code review and design standards and advocate for them through writing and tech talks • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example • Help scale decisioning capabilities, expand internationally, strengthen data integrity and reconciliation, and build next-generation recovery products

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer • Proficiency in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Experience designing and operating correctness-sensitive batch, asynchronous, or data-processing systems • Experience with scheduled workflows, backfills, reconciliation, observability, and robust failure handling • Experience architecting solutions across complex systems and organizational boundaries • Ability to drive changes across backend services and customer-facing applications to deliver end-to-end outcomes • Experience delivering major features, system components, or deprecating existing functionality through a technical and execution plan • Ability to write high-quality, easily understood code • Ability to work from low-level language idioms through large-system architecture • Demonstrated growth and impact through gathering and iterating on feedback • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Must be based in Poland
