📋 Description

• Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations and monthly flux analysis • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner from Portugal and other assigned EMEA countries • Respond timely to client requests and internal queries • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for audits • Handle external and internal queries via email and phone • Identify and calculate provisions and exceptions to standard bookings • Assist in developing and documenting business processes, procedures, checklists and policies • Perform other duties as assigned or required • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of accounting issues • Build productive internal and external working relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in business, majoring in Accounting, Finance or a related field • 3 to 5 years of combined experience in accounting and GL close process • Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English is mandatory • Knowledge of additional languages is highly valued • Strong understanding of local GAAP accounting and financial/operational understanding; US GAAP is a plus • Knowledge and experience working with Primavera or Odoo is highly desired but not mandatory • Highly developed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate often with several internal departments • Ability to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes • Contributing to the organization in a professional manner with a positive attitude
