📋 Description

• Own components end to end and ensure they meet vehicle functional objectives • Design, develop, package, time, validate, and release interior components and systems • Collaborate with PDO and Sciences on Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing • Manage engineering changes • Maintain bills of material • Support prototype and production builds • Manage issues and communicate technical product status to management • Manage CAD models in Teamcenter • Lead weight reduction, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement initiatives • Support vehicle assembly plants with product technical issues • Support service teams with field warranty issues and root-cause analysis • Work with suppliers to meet program and Electrical Development timing and deliverables • Contribute to continuous improvement of design and release processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or MBA • 1 to 3 years of experience reviewing, validating, and releasing automotive Cockpit component designs • Mechatronics experience with Manual Park Release, Active Damping Air Suspension, switches, sensors, lighting, seats, outside rearview mirrors, power hatch, liftgate, sunroof, or power top • General knowledge of switches, electrical seat controls, sensors, electrical functions, electronic diagrams, software, and mechatronics component testing, including durability and thermal testing • Experience with infotainment, connectivity, or embedded commodities is valuable • Experience with NX, CATIA V5, and Teamcenter • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles • Knowledge of PBOM, eBOM, DVP&R, and technical sheet management • Knowledge of electrical module hardware and software development • Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R creation and execution • Intermediate-advanced English for technical comprehension and international team communication • Preferred: experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs • Preferred: knowledge of style freeze processes and theme evaluation • Preferred: in-plant experience with tool tryouts, assembly, or program launch • Preferred: familiarity with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 • Valid visa is optional
