📋 Description

• Design, develop, and release structural and mechanical components for stamped vehicle doors • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, functionality, cost, automotive regulations, and product performance requirements • Coordinate packaging with the Product Design Office, vehicle development, Exterior and Body Engineering teams, adjacent departments, and suppliers • Provide feasibility input for Product Design Office concepts, sketches, and clay models • Drive quality, weight reduction, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement initiatives • Communicate technical product status to management • Develop functional and build objectives • Build objectives and manage DVP&R/DFMEA activities • Manage production suppliers to meet requirements • Release completed geometry using NX Teamcenter CAD tools

🎯 Requirements

• Experience designing and developing on Body in White, Closures, Stamped Doors, and Door Modules • CAD experience with Unigraphics NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter in a production release environment BIW (Body in White) • Knowledge of high strength steels/aluminum forming processes, weld parameters, and GD&T • Experience/knowledge with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), and validation plans • BOM creation and editing • Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Green/Black Belt is a plus • CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) knowledge • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) • CATIA V5 knowledge is a plus
