📋 Description

• Own 0→1 initiatives from problem definition through production • Frame problems, write specifications when needed, choose architectures, and build systems • Build agents with outcome owners inside Atlan or at customers • Scope workflows, demo early, and deploy agents where work happens, such as Slack or Word • Use shadow runs, study misses, and expand agent autonomy based on results • Design failure handling for unavailable tools, insufficient context, uncertainty, and human takeover • Decide what should use deterministic code versus models, including build-versus-reuse, model choice, cost, and reliability • Make agent behavior observable through traces, evaluations, consistency, cost, latency, and success-rate tracking • Extend the context layer, agent platform, and registry with versioned skills, layered instructions, permissions, secrets management, and model migrations • Use coding agents on personal work and review their output for architectural drift • Convert learnings into reusable skills, reference architectures, quality gates, and demos • Work in small two-slice units, typically owning one initiative with one or two collaborators

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building software systems and shipping 0→1 products or platforms into production, often without a spec • Experience shipping agents or LLM systems used by real people • Experience tracing agent failures to context, tool calls, or decisions • Ability to use evals to identify and fix problems and assess user impact • Ability to design for failure, permissions, human approvals, and safe agent operation • Daily experience building with coding agents and reviewing their output to a high standard • Strong first-principles reasoning and systems judgment • Ability to design for production reliability, latency, cost, and security • Ability to work autonomously on initiatives with one or two collaborators • Strong bonus: experience with MCP, A2A, agent frameworks and runtimes, LLM gateways, agent observability, agent harnesses, or orchestration layers • Strong bonus: experience with knowledge graphs, vector search, retrieval, or semantic layers • Strong bonus: experience building eval suites, shadow evaluations, LLM grading, or staged rollouts • Strong bonus: experience shipping agents that write to systems of record with permissions, approvals, and audit trails • Strong bonus: experience leading AI adoption inside an engineering or business team • Strong bonus: founding-engineer, technical-founder, or early-stage startup experience • Strong bonus: public trail of work through repositories, demos, write-ups, or talks
