📋 Description

• Own the technical vision and architecture for shared, multi-tenant technology platforms. • Design and validate Azure-based solutions. • Decompose complex initiatives into scoped work that the team can execute independently. • Partner with business and account stakeholders to align deliverables with client and operational needs. • Strengthen platform reliability, security, and scalability. • Develop familiarity with current platform architecture, technical initiatives, and environmental pain points. • Build working relationships with Engineering and Cloud Operations. • Complete architectural spikes or initiatives, document findings, and hand off clear work to engineers. • Improve platform reliability, security posture, observability, monitoring, and telemetry. • Mentor engineers on Azure architecture best practices. • Establish reusable architectural patterns and evaluate AI-assisted development practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of cloud engineering and architecture experience. • Deep, intimate knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including monitoring, automation, and platform services. • Strong experience designing cloud solutions and validating approaches through focused, time-boxed spikes. • Demonstrated ability to break down complex, ambiguous work into scoped, delegable pieces and lead delivery through others. • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code using Bicep or Terraform. • Scripting experience with PowerShell and Python. • Excellent written and spoken English. • Confidence engaging and influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders in business-facing and cross-functional conversations. • Experience partnering with cross-functional and account teams. • Pattern-oriented problem-solving mindset focused on reusable solutions. • Working knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL. • Preferred: Experience supporting multiple clients or tenants from a shared platform. • Preferred: Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks relevant to managed cloud services, including Microsoft Sentinel. • Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps. • Preferred: Relevant Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
