📋 Description

• Own the group operating system end to end and enforce M0/M1/M2 stage gates • Continuously improve the operating system based on portfolio patterns • Drive Venture 001 and Venture 002 from readiness to launch and stage Venture 003 • Independently make venture sequencing and prioritization decisions • Own on-time, on-system launches and report signal rather than activity • Recruit and hire Venture CEOs or EIRs and build the attract kit and compensation architecture • Motivate venture leaders and maintain performance at pace • Run annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly operating cadences • Manage execution in ClickUp or equivalent and coordinate leadership calendars • Surface blockers and risks early • Build Birg.co and subsidiaries' websites and digital presence • Assess portfolio hiring needs with the Head of People • Prioritize AI agents before headcount and build the AI operating layer • Build lean, high-caliber teams as justified by portfolio needs

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in startup operations, venture building, general management, or a comparable operating role, ideally spanning more than one company • Direct, hands-on experience taking at least one company from zero to launch • Strong working knowledge of AI tools and agentic workflows, using them to replace team-based work • Experience designing or operating structured processes for de-risking new initiatives, such as stage gates or funnel management • Hands-on experience managing execution across multiple workstreams, products, or business lines simultaneously without relying on a large team • Experience reporting directly to a CEO or founder, with judgment to identify and escalate risks early • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide concise, honest assessments of portfolio or business health • Comfortable operating as an independent contractor, with compensation aligned to scope and impact • Preferred: venture studio, startup holding company, private equity operating group, or other multi-entity experience • Preferred: experience building or scaling a B2B SaaS company • Preferred: structured venture-building frameworks, AI agent orchestration, automation platforms, or AI-native internal tooling • Preferred: founder experience and desire to operate at portfolio level
