📋 Description

• Frame vague business questions as measurable problems • Analyze behavioral data, product catalogs, and event streams at scale • Find predictive features across BigQuery and Databricks • Build and evaluate models for propensity and churn, contextual personalization, contextual bandits, autosegmentation, uplift, and incrementality • Design offline metrics, backtests, and A/B tests • Research external methods, run proofs of concept, and evaluate results • Hand off models and supporting evidence to ML Engineering for productionization • Explain results to Product, Engineering leadership, and customers • Deliver models that reach production and move measurable business metrics

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building ML models that shipped and were used by others, in industry • Strong Python skills • Strong SQL skills and ability to navigate a data warehouse independently • Solid grounding in classical ML, including tree-based models, regression, classification, and clustering • Expertise in experiment design and evaluation • Experience with cloud data platforms, particularly GCP/BigQuery and Databricks • A quantitative degree or equivalent practical depth • Working English, written and spoken • Real depth in at least one of causal inference and uplift modelling; contextual bandits, sequential decision-making, or off-policy evaluation; ranking, recommendation, or information retrieval; LLM evaluation or applied GenAI work • Familiarity with agentic coding tools is an advantage
