📋 Description

• Serve as Engineering Lead for the CONT team within the Search domain. • Embed leadership within the team and create a trusting, clear, and accountable working environment. • Share responsibility with the Product Owner for delivery, strategic direction, and quality. • Create focus, reduce context switching, and continuously improve processes and time to market. • Continuously evolve technical standards and architectures. • Establish clear decision-making frameworks, foster ownership, and accelerate team decisions. • Ensure alignment with other teams and business objectives. • Support engineers in their professional development. • Take responsibility for performance management and hiring. • Work closely with Agile Coaches, Staff Engineers, and Heads of Engineering. • Contribute to the development of content management infrastructure and systems, content delivery for the shop and app, and the automation of content maintenance processes. • Contribute actively to software development as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Leadership experience. • Several years of hands-on software engineering experience in complex system landscapes. • Ideally, experience with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot. • Strong knowledge of software architecture, particularly Domain-driven Design. • Experience implementing software architecture in production, establishing technical standards, and driving architectural decisions. • Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices. • Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments. • Openness to AI-assisted engineering practices; practical experience is a plus. • Clear, solution-oriented, and focused communication. • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Very good German language skills, at least C1 level. • Ability to recognize and shape team dynamics and promote an open feedback and learning-from-mistakes culture.
