📋 Description

• Embed leadership within the team and foster proximity, clarity, and accountability in day-to-day work • Create an environment of trust where high-quality software can be delivered reliably and sustainably • Combine engineering with leadership responsibilities and contribute actively to development when needed • Share responsibility with the Product Owner for delivery, direction, and quality • Create focus, reduce context switching, and continuously improve processes and time to market • Further develop technical quality as a driver of business value • Continuously evolve technical standards and architectures • Establish clear decision-making frameworks, foster ownership, and accelerate team decisions • Ensure alignment with other teams and business objectives • Support the team’s interests and development, strengthen engagement, and enable growth • Support engineers in their professional development • Take responsibility for performance management and hiring • Work closely with Agile Coaches, Staff Engineers, and Heads of Engineering • Continuously develop the engineering organization

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in leadership • Intrinsic motivation to support the personal and technical development of team members • Ability to switch between context-dependent roles and responsibilities • Ability to recognize and shape team dynamics • Several years of hands-on software engineering experience in complex system landscapes • Ideally, experience with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot • Strong knowledge of software architecture, particularly Domain-driven Design • Experience implementing software architecture in production environments • Experience establishing technical standards and driving architectural decisions • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructures • Knowledge of Kubernetes containerization • Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code • Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices • Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments • Openness to AI-assisted engineering practices; practical experience is a plus • Clear, solution-oriented, and focused communication • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders • Very good German language skills, at least C1 level • One or more of the qualifications listed above; not necessarily all of them
