📋 Description

• Shape the architecture, quality, and developer experience of product surfaces used by customers and internal teams • Work across product teams to make frontend systems scalable, reliable, accessible, and fast • Lead the migration from Svelte to React while sequencing work with product delivery • Maintain and evolve the design system with the frontend guild • Support and guide frontend initiatives across teams, including application architecture, performance, testing strategy, developer experience, and technical debt reduction • Raise UX and UI quality through design reviews, reusable patterns, mentoring, and technical writing • Identify and shape effective agentic AI tooling and codebase practices • Map frontend architecture, product domains, design system, team workflows, and delivery bottlenecks during the first 30 days • Publish a structured analysis and proposal for a cross-team frontend initiative by 60 days • Lead a systemic improvement to measurable progress across teams by 90 days • Help Senior Engineers grow through collaboration, reviews, and shared ownership

🎯 Requirements

• Track record of operating at Staff scope, with or without the title • Shipped systemic frontend or product-engineering improvements across multiple teams • Deep expertise in modern frontend engineering • Strong command of TypeScript, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, performance, testing, and maintainable application architecture • Daily use of AI coding tools and experience with agentic workflows • Considered view on where AI coding tools help and what codebases need for agent collaboration • Ability to translate ambiguous workflows and business constraints into pragmatic, elegant product experiences • Comfortable reasoning across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, observability, security, and compliance • Ability to drive cross-team change through credibility, clear writing, architectural reasoning, and stakeholder alignment • Ability to set technical direction and influence without formal authority • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and build alignment on difficult technical decisions • Experience mentoring engineers • Fluent English, written and spoken • Legal right to work in the European Union • Berlin residence or willingness to relocate to Berlin is requested in the application form
