📋 Description
• Explore client needs and drive the technical roadmap and impactful solutions supporting business goals • Help shape and build Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice in collaboration with business development, marketing, and capabilities development teams • Build and ensure controls and processes for continuous delivery and evolution of infrastructure and applications • Drive automation through all stages of the delivery and infrastructure process • Lead monitoring and ensure technical expectations of project deliverables are consistently met • Provide expertise and guidance in DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering internally and at client sites • Establish trusting partnerships with client leadership across engineering and commercial functions • Lead the design and implementation of innovative solutions to current constraints and business policies
🎯 Requirements
• Ability to lead collaborative design of enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms • Ability to administer application servers, web servers, and databases • Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies • Experience working with software delivery teams • Understanding and regular application of DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code • Experience with server virtualization • Experience with at least one IaaS cloud platform • Experience with two or more application runtime platforms, including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless, and databases • Ability to write scripts using at least one scripting language • Experience building Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across different technology stacks, web, or mobile • Experience with monitoring systems for availability, performance, or security • Experience with stress and performance testing and observability patterns, including Distributed Tracing/OpenTracing, Log Aggregation, Audit Logging, Exception Tracking, Health Check API, Application Metrics, Self-Healing, and Multi-Cloud • Understanding of security concerns, threats, infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply chain security • Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools is a bonus • Enjoyment of interacting with teammates across the business • Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences • Ability to partner directly with CTO/CIO/COO leadership teams and collaborate with senior IT groups in an advisory capacity • Ability to adapt to uncertainty, embrace change, and make decisions with limited information
