📋 Description

• Work within teams to launch projects through hands-on implementation, evaluate existing infrastructure and drive improvements • Explore client needs and collaborate on technical roadmaps and impactful solutions supporting business goals • Help shape and build Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice with practitioners, business development, marketing and capabilities development teams • Build controls and processes for continuous delivery and infrastructure and application evolution • Drive automation through all stages of the delivery process • Monitor projects and ensure technical expectations of deliverables are consistently met • Provide DevOps, cloud, platform and infrastructure engineering expertise internally and at client sites • Establish partnerships with client engineering leadership • Suggest innovative solutions to constraints and business policies

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms • Ability to administer application servers, web servers and databases • Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation and application hosting technologies • Experience working with software delivery teams and understanding of DevOps philosophies, Agile methods and Infrastructure as Code • History of working with at least one IaaS cloud platform • Experience with two or more application runtime platforms, including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless and databases • Ability to write scripts using at least one scripting language • Comfort building Linux servers, Windows servers or container clusters • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across different tech stacks • Experience with monitoring systems for availability, performance or security • Understanding of infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security and software supply chain security • Experience communicating technical concepts to nontechnical audiences • Ability to partner with infrastructure technicians, support and network analysts, security analysts, system administrators and/or IT managers • Bonus: experience with unit testing, automated testing tools, stress testing and performance testing
