📋 Description

• Manage and mentor engineers on the Colombia team, owning technical growth, code quality, and delivery • Set engineering standards through code review, pairing, and reference implementations • Serve as the first escalation point and teach engineers while unblocking them • Build practices that improve team performance quarter over quarter • Drive architecture decisions across agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, document processing, and production automation • Evaluate new AI models, frameworks, and techniques for the production toolkit • Turn lessons from client builds into reusable tooling, templates, and documentation • Build and deliver complex client AI systems end to end, including LLM orchestration, evaluation, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud infrastructure • Make pragmatic technical decisions under client timelines, legacy systems, messy data, and business constraints • Design reliable production systems that continue working after engagements end • Join client calls to explain system designs, trade-offs, and progress • Translate ambiguous business problems into concrete system designs and delivery plans • Communicate risks, trade-offs, and scope realities to protect client outcomes and team delivery • Report to the Head of Client Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience • 2+ years building production LLM-powered systems, including RAG, agents, or structured extraction • Demonstrated technical leadership and experience mentoring or managing engineers • Expert-level Python • Strong full-stack fundamentals • Production cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including deployment, monitoring, and maintenance • Deep knowledge of prompt and context engineering, evaluation, embeddings, vector search, and agent orchestration frameworks • Experience owning ambiguous, high-stakes projects end to end • Fluent English and clear communication on client calls • Adaptability in consulting environments across client contexts, industries, and codebases • Based in Colombia with reliable overlap with US business hours • AI-first working style and daily use of AI tools
