📋 Description

• Design and model automotive interior plastic and trim components • Design door trim, floor console, pillar trims, carpets, insulation parts, instrument panels, and rear quarter trim • Conduct design reviews with the Global Technical Centre Team and converge on design solutions • Release components in the PLM system at each project milestone • Conduct packaging, manufacturing, and assembly feasibility studies • Perform benchmarking studies as required • Coordinate with suppliers, PLM activities, development, and cross-functional teams • Coordinate DVPR testing with suppliers and SQE coordination to bring parts for build • Support impact, durability, and NVH analysis teams in meeting regulatory and test requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of Product Design & development experience in automotive Trim Components • Working experience in component- and system-level designing • Expert in CATIA and ENOVIA/Ennovia • Expertise in CATIA/UGNX modeling and surfacing • Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly feasibility studies • Work experience with international Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs • Knowledge of injection molding processes • Experience designing hard trim components including instrument panel, floor console, door trim, pillar trim, scuff plates, quarter trim, and lift gate • Experience designing soft trim components including headliner, carpet, dash insulator, and firewall insulator • Good presentation and communication skills
