📋 Description

• Design and build robust dbt models on Databricks • Transform raw ingested data into clean, conformed, analytics-ready datasets • Define and implement KPI logic with business and analytics stakeholders • Maintain and evolve reliable, tested, documented, and performant semantic and presentation layers • Apply software engineering best practices including version control, testing, CI/CD, and documentation • Independently onboard and explore new data domains • Engage business partners and domain owners to understand context and validate assumptions • Identify data quality issues and work with Data Management to resolve them at source • Translate analytical needs into engineering tasks and communicate data realities to the business • Support reporting and self-service needs • Contribute to data governance, naming conventions, lineage documentation, and model cataloguing • Extend analytics coverage to new brands and domains • Report to the Director of Analytics and collaborate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related data role • Strong, hands-on proficiency with dbt (dbt Core or dbt Cloud) • Experience working on Databricks or a comparable cloud data platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery • Solid understanding of dimensional modelling, data vault, or similar data warehousing patterns • SQL excellence, including complex transformations, window functions, and query optimisation • Ability to work autonomously across multiple data domains with limited documentation • Strong analytical mindset and ability to spot anomalies and validate logic end-to-end • Excellent communication skills for working with business stakeholders • Experience across diverse data domains such as marketing, product analytics, customer care, and financial/subscription data • Familiarity with SaaS GTM tooling and metrics such as Amplitude or HubSpot • Experience with Python for data transformation or pipeline orchestration • Exposure to BI/visualisation layers such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI • Experience in a multi-brand or portfolio company context • Eligibility to work in Belgium; proof of work eligibility may be required • Visa sponsorship is not available
