📋 Description

• Support operationalisation of Open Data activities under the UNESCO-KISTI Collaboration • Refine the benchmark framework for assessing national and institutional Open Data strategies • Finalise the toolkit for Open Data platforms and prepare implementation notes • Produce summary and annual reports on Open Data and Diamond Open Access activities • Develop methodologies and guidelines to strengthen Diamond Open Access in Asia and Africa • Facilitate exchange of good practices for preserving source code as digital documentary heritage • Organise information-sharing meetings with relevant stakeholders • Finalise an issues paper on recognising and preserving software source code as digital documentary heritage • Support preparation and development of the 2027 UNESCO-Software Heritage Symposium • Prepare presentations, issues papers, and reports supporting UNESCO's Open Solutions Programme • Map partnership and fundraising opportunities related to Open Solutions initiatives • Prepare monthly briefings and facilitate stakeholder engagement and resource mobilisation • Submit monthly reports on progress against the terms of reference

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Natural Sciences, Public Policy and/or related field(s) • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in scientific research, international cooperation for sciences and/or related fields • Excellent communication and writing skills • Ability to conceptualize issues, analyze data, and synthesize information coherently and succinctly • Excellent IT and analytical skills, including extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing credible information from electronic knowledge systems • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Knowledge of UNESCO/UN rules and procedures • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines • Ability to work efficiently in a multicultural and multilingual environment • Excellent knowledge of English and satisfactory knowledge of French
