📋 Description

• Design and implement NPC and enemy behavior subsystems • Collaborate with designers, programmers, and project stakeholders to develop and refine mechanics • Design and prototype enemy, NPC, and character companion behaviors, reactions, abilities, and weaknesses for humans and monsters • Iterate on behavior through playtesting and feedback • Create engaging and dynamic player experiences • Create clear and detailed documentation for AI subsystems • Act as a subject matter expert on NPC and enemy-related matters • Mentor the team

🎯 Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar role • Strong preference for experience in AAA RPG/Action titles with melee-oriented combat • Proven success creating compelling and innovative gameplay mechanics focused on combat • Experience working with Unreal Engine 4 and/or Unreal Engine 5 • Understanding of State Trees/Behavior Trees for assembling NPC behaviors in combat • Openness to receiving and giving feedback • Ability to include others in the design process • Mentoring experience • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with cross-disciplinary teams • Openness to changes and experimentation • Passion for games and a good sense of humor appreciated
