📋 Description

• Build and lead processes to ensure and improve ClickHouse reliability, availability, scalability, and performance • Collaborate with Control Plane, Dataplane, Security, Support, and Operations teams to guide effective ClickHouse implementations • Manage engineering escalation management and response • Conduct investigations and post-mortem analyses, including blameless postmortems • Continuously improve how ClickHouse is run and optimized in the cloud • Improve and create metrics and alerts to identify and prevent production problems before they affect customers • Investigate common customer problems, identify root causes, submit bug fixes and issue reports, and suggest improvements • Enhance incident response and post-mortem processes for ClickHouse Core outages • Work with Support and Cloud teams to communicate with impacted customers • Plan, enable, and drive Chaos initiatives across Engineering teams • Manage on-call processes and establish escalation best practices to minimize customer impact

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field • At least 5 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, QA, or customer-facing engineering • Previous experience operating ClickHouse or other SQL databases in production • Excellent understanding of distributed database internals and SQL; ClickHouse knowledge is a major plus • Scripting experience with Shell or Python • Ability to read and understand C++ code • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a global team • High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability • Excellent communication skills
