📋 Description

• Plan audit engagements by defining scope, materiality, risk assessments, and tailored audit programs • Perform walkthroughs of key processes and test control design and operating effectiveness • Design and perform substantive analytical procedures and tests of details • Evaluate ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting • Audit accounts receivable allowances, inventory, impairments, contingencies, share-based compensation, and depreciation/amortization • Apply sampling approaches, reconcile populations, and use data tools to identify anomalies • Prepare PBC lists, tie-outs, cross-references, and GAAS-compliant workpapers • Identify control deficiencies and propose remediation steps • Communicate audit status and findings to clients • Stay current on US GAAS, AICPA, and relevant GAAP updates • Support EQR/reviewer comments • Manage wrap-up, representation letters, subsequent-events procedures, management letters, and audit reports • Refine playbooks and templates and mentor teammates • Collaborate with accounting teams and CPA firms across US time zones

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline • 3+ years of US external audit experience (public practice or equivalent) • Strong command of US GAAP and US GAAS (AICPA) • Proficiency with audit software such as Caseware, CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, Workpaper Manager, or similar • Proficiency with cloud collaboration tools • Solid Excel/Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivots, and reconciliations • Comfort working from client ERPs/GLs such as QBO, Xero, and NetSuite • Clear, concise English communication, written and spoken • Client-facing professionalism and strong stakeholder management • Comfortable working US business hours • Full-time exclusive commitment; no other part-time or freelance engagements after hire • Must comply with employment verification, background/clearance, reference-check, monitoring, and LinkedIn-update requirements • Nice-to-have: Data analytics tools such as IDEA/ACL/Power Query; experience across multi-location audits; familiarity with SOC or review/compilation engagements
