• Data mining and extracting usable information from valuable data sources • Using machine learning tools to select features, create, and optimize classifiers • Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data for analysis • Analyzing large volumes of information to identify patterns and solutions • Developing time series forecasting models using machine learning algorithms • Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms • Building strong partnerships with sponsors, clients, and vendors to validate business processes • Informing product owners of delivery status; identifying delivery risks and dependencies and detailing and quantifying impacts • Investigating anomalies in business flows • Acting as a key interface with the IT team to communicate data patterns and findings • Preparing presentations that clearly explain both the data science process and results to technical and non-technical audiences, including project managers, clients, sponsors, and vendors • Communicating and documenting findings in a structured manner
• Master’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering (Bac+5) or equivalent experience (asset) • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset • 1–2 years of work experience in data science (analysis, data mining, time series analysis, machine learning, projections and estimates, business intelligence) • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including designing spreadsheet models, implementing macros, and connecting to external data sources • Proficiency in SQL for database querying • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide is a plus • Experience in solution development using at least one of the following: SAS and/or Python • Knowledge of leading machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, or the ability to build machine learning models, is a plus • Knowledge of pandas, SciPy, and NumPy for data analysis, model building, and forecasting in Python • Ability to work effectively within a development team in an Agile organization • Ability to work efficiently in virtual teams during standard EST business hours using conference calls and online conferencing tools (e.g., WebEx, BETC)
