📋 Description

• Build and maintain development tools and cloud infrastructure • Manage production instances and application distribution on the internet • Automate and improve development and release processes • Deploy and maintain infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform / OpenTofu • Apply security best practices involving IAM, networking, and secrets • Collaborate with the security team on penetration testing and security discussions • Monitor production and analyze issues to identify root causes • Execute seamless rolling releases, including certificate rotations and database upgrades, without user interruption • Collaborate with engineers, including Data and QA teams • Ensure development teams follow established processes • Participate in daily standups, unblock teammates, and help plan and prioritize infrastructure work and tooling requests • Take ownership of infrastructure deployments, configuration checks, tool upgrades, and production monitoring • Optimize infrastructure resources, databases, and tooling to reduce spend without reducing capacity or performance • Oversee cluster and tooling upgrades, debug issues safely, transfer knowledge, raise risks proactively, and integrate new tools into project timelines • Operate without on-call procedures or middle-of-the-night emergencies

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in a real production environment • Experience with public-facing applications where uptime and user impact matter • Experience planning, running, or actively contributing to Kubernetes cluster upgrades • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform / OpenTofu • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD • Good grasp of AWS security fundamentals, including IAM, roles, and networking • Monitoring and alerting experience • Ability to troubleshoot and root-cause production issues • Solid experience working remotely in a multidisciplinary environment • Excellent communication skills and high emotional and professional maturity • Track record of high-quality work as evaluated by peers • Ability to anticipate effects on larger architecture, risk mitigation, and contingency plans • Good spoken and written English communication skills • Nice to have: Managed Kafka (MSK), RDS/Postgres, Prometheus-compatible stacks, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Sentry, Terragrunt, multi-region setups, and cloud cost optimization
