📋 Description

• Perform quantity takeoffs from PDF drawings and specifications. • Build cost estimates using the client's labor rates, material pricing and subcontractor quotes. • Request and compare supplier and subcontractor bids; level them for the estimator or owner. • Track bid invitations and deadlines; prepare bid packages and proposals. • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs and change orders. • Keep the project schedule, meeting minutes and document log current. • Coordinate material orders and deliveries with suppliers. • Support pay applications and lien waivers with the accounting team. • Work remotely from Mexico for general contractors and specialty subcontractors in the US.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, architecture or construction management (Ingeniería Civil, Arquitectura). • 3+ years in estimating (cuantificación y presupuestos) or project coordination. • Comfortable reading architectural and structural drawings and specifications. • Intermediate-to-advanced English (B2+), especially written, for RFIs and supplier emails. • Advanced Excel. • Takeoff and estimating software: Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On Center, STACK or ProEst. • Project management software: Procore, Buildertrend or similar. • Experience with U.S. projects, imperial units and CSI MasterFormat divisions. • Specialty trade experience: concrete, framing, drywall, mechanical or electrical. • Hands-on experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, materials, and labor calculations. • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, project schedules, and documentation.
