📋 Description

• Maintain and grow the SEO and AIO presence for a California-based cannabis contract manufacturer • Build approximately two new SEO pages per week using existing service-by-location structures across seven core services and California locations • Develop backlink strategies and keyword targeting beyond core terms • Build and send weekly email campaigns • Track email engagement rates and test and improve campaigns • Write brand-awareness campaigns designed to drive prospects to book calls with the production team • Launch approximately one SMS campaign per week, including referral-focused campaigns • A/B test subject lines, content, and send times continuously • Track and report open rates, click rates, and overall campaign performance • Recommend improvements based on campaign data • Work independently with minimal oversight • Proactively suggest new SEO, email, and SMS marketing ideas

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in SEO, email marketing and SMS marketing, with the ability to step in and contribute immediately with no learning curve • Ability to maintain and grow SEO and AIO presence for a California-based cannabis contract manufacturer • Ability to build new SEO pages weekly using existing service-by-location page structures across seven core services and California locations • Ability to develop SEO ideas, backlink strategies, and keyword targeting beyond core terms • Ability to build and send weekly email campaigns, track engagement, and test and improve campaigns • Ability to write brand-awareness campaigns that drive prospects to book calls with the production team • Ability to launch approximately one SMS campaign per week • Experience with ongoing A/B testing of subject lines, content, and send times • Ability to track and report open rates, click rates, and campaign performance, recommending data-based improvements • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and proactively suggest ideas • Strong email design skills and experience building visually polished campaigns • Experience creating images and graphics in Canva • Experience writing and running campaigns end to end, from copy to content to launch • Leadership mindset and comfort owning the marketing function as a strategic co-thinker • Background in cannabis, co-packing, or contract manufacturing is a plus • Experience with link building and proper SEO sourcing • Experience in B2B marketing focused on booking calls rather than direct product sales • Highly responsive and over-communicative • Autonomous, creative problem solver who thinks strategically • Data-driven, proactive A/B testing, and regular reporting on results • Experience with Klaviyo • Experience with SMS platforms such as TextUs or SimpleTexting • Experience with Canva • Experience with Google Docs • Experience with SEO and website page building • Resume must follow the Coconut VA Profile Template and be in English • CEFR English proficiency level required in the application form • 1-minute introduction video, preferably using Loom, with a working link • Must be available part-time for 20 hours per week • Must be available during Pacific Time
