📋 Description
• Maintain the overall condition of all IT systems onboard, including server and PC systems and their operating systems • Manage broadband internet connectivity, email communication systems, office applications, and specialized applications assigned by the Owner’s IT Department • Maintain hardware and resolve software-related issues, including configuration, updating, and administration • Administer user access permissions and passwords for the ship’s crew • Ensure IT systems security, including virus protection, prevention of unauthorized access, and protection of security-sensitive information • Maintain the inventory of consumables related to the area of responsibility, with support from the hotel department • Report inventory daily to the Hotel Inventory Controller for input in MXP requisitions • Participate in emergency drills and respond to actual emergencies according to the Muster List
🎯 Requirements
• Self-motivated and skilled seafarer • Substantial experience on large cruise ships with worldwide itineraries • Experience maintaining server and PC systems and operating systems • Knowledge of broadband internet, email communication systems, office applications, and specialized applications • Hardware maintenance and software configuration, updating, and administration skills • User access-permission and password administration experience • IT systems security knowledge, including virus protection and unauthorized-access protection • Ability to participate in emergency drills and respond to emergencies according to the Muster List
