📋 Description

• Work directly with the founders on product and technical direction • Build and maintain the Python/Django backend • Perform light frontend work using HTMX and occasional React components • Own features from start to finish, including post-release production reliability • Develop APIs powering the consumer dashboard and customer reporting • Improve performance and reliability in Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines • Integrate third-party services such as Stripe and WorkOS SSO • Participate in code review on a small backend team • Deliver real production work beginning in the first week

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years building production web applications • 3+ years with Python and Django • Production experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis • Working knowledge of computer science fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system design • Strong written communication • Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones • Self-direction and follow-through • Strong plus: DRF and/or django-ninja • Strong plus: Postgres tuning and query analysis • Strong plus: Kubernetes and AWS • Strong plus: Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations • Strong plus: HTMX, React, or both • Strong plus: Background in consumer privacy or adjacent industries • Strong plus: Experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, etc.)
