• Development of process indicators (KPIs) and Process Monitoring for Beverage Manufacturing Facilities • Development of new technologies for can manufacturing facilities meeting Crown specifications to guarantee the quality of the beverage can • Search for process continuous improvement through cost reduction and eliminating non-value adding tasks • Development and implementation of Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) to measure the efficiency of the beverage can making process • Collect and analyze process efficiency data, performing benchmarking research to maximize efficiency, quality and reduce costs • Development and implementation of Consumables Report and Coordinate actions to reduce consumption with the plants • Collect statistical data for can making process, monitoring weight, metal yield, consumables, spoilage and costs to guarantee efficiency • Support Beverage Cans and Ends facilities for qualification of New materials and create technical qualification and statistical reports • Provide training to plant personnel in existing process and new materials • Develop and support projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to improve quality and reduce costs
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering • Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience in positions of increasing responsibility • Six Sigma certification in Green Belt or beyond • Experience in high-speed packaging related to the manufacture or use of Beverage, Food or Aerosol packaging • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to effectively solve problems both on an individual and collaborative approach • Working knowledge of principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations including SPC, Six Sigma, 5S, SMED and Lean Manufacturing • Strong project management skills • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing operation • Demonstrated employee relations skills and the ability to motivate people • Strong relationship management, interpersonal, listening and communication skills • Effective communicator in both written and verbal correspondence as well as an effective presenter. • Advanced knowledge of PC’s and software programs Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. • Approximately 60-70% travel required for success in this role.
