📋 Description

• Define the chart of accounts, document workflows, and processes together with management • Handle ongoing financial accounting: review, code, and record supporting documents • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts • Process payments and other banking transactions • Reconcile accounts and support the preparation of financial statements • Prepare reports and analyses for the board and management • Act as a point of contact for operational teams and DEHIB member organizations • Build the accounting function from the ground up

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in financial accounting • Ideally, experience setting up or transitioning an accounting function • Confident user of accounting software and Microsoft Excel • Meticulous when handling digital documents and data • Very good command of German • Willingness to provide regular support for 4–6 hours per week
