Docugami is a new AI Document Engineering startup located in the Seattle area, WA. The company utilizes artificial intelligence to transform the unique document business processes of individual companies, enhancing efficiency for frontline users and providing COOs with better compliance and insights.

📋 Description

• Functioning as the head of the Docugami Europe AI research lab and leading a small team of researchers and scientists • Proposing solutions to the different science problems in an evolving environment • Leading collaboration with partners in academia and scientific institutions to stay at the very forefront of R&D in the industry • Collaborating with engineering and product leadership to plan and prioritize a long-term roadmap of science breakthroughs • Working with engineers who will be responsible for integrating and deploying your work in production • Sharing the results of the AI research lab through paper publications, conference engagements, and conducting regular internal science reviews and educational sessions for the Docugami team

🎯 Requirements

• PhD (or equivalent experience) in areas like computer science, mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering, or related fields • More than 10 years of experience after completing PhD, or equivalent demonstrable industry experience • Deep and up-to-date experience with some of the following: generative artificial intelligence, natural language processing (NLP), machine translation, self-supervised learning, active learning, computer vision (CV), statistics, causal inference, and other related disciplines • Programming skills and familiarity of modern ML frameworks • Research track record demonstrated by top-level journal and conference publications • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with direct management experience • Passion for technical and scientific excellence • Strong communication skills and capacity to report and disseminate results • Fluent in French and English and resides in France
