📋 Description

• Build consistent, reusable data models from approximately 150 raw SAP tables in SAP Datasphere • Build a semantic data foundation, initially for Sales, followed by Operations and Supply Chain • Request required tables from the internal IT team • Coordinate with internal IT and the implementation partner on data provisioning • Account for extraction logic and delta handling • Perform plausibility checks and validate SAP results • Build the first centralized management dashboards in Power BI • Implement predefined KPIs and dimensions, including the data model and DAX • Prepare data models for self-service reporting by business departments • In the future, integrate additional sources such as Excel/CSV files from production via SharePoint and SAP IBP • Define naming conventions and modeling standards • Document data models, data flows, and definitions • Support KPI governance and consistent metric definitions • Train a working student • Hand over the setup to the future internal Lead Data & Analytics • Deliver a reliable sales report by December 31, 2026, at the latest, and support the replacement of the legacy system by February 1, 2027

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in data modeling with SAP Datasphere • At least one SAP Datasphere project successfully deployed to production • Hands-on experience with Data Builder, views, replication and transformation flows, analytic models, task chains, and data access controls • Confident ability to read SAP data structures from ECC/R3 • Knowledge of SAP SD and MM, including the mapping of relevant tables • Understanding of data extraction from SAP ERP • Strong SQL skills • Solid Power BI skills: data modeling, DAX, connectivity to SAP Datasphere, and functional dashboards • Experience building reporting solutions from scratch • Willingness to challenge implausible or nonsensical requirements • Nice to have: Experience in mid-sized manufacturing companies or the food industry • Nice to have: Sales and supply chain KPIs, particularly delivery reliability and OTIF • Nice to have: SAP IBP • Nice to have: SAP Analytics Cloud or BW/BW4HANA as a source system • Nice to have: Experience enabling internal teams
