📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of SRE/DevOps engineers • Assess team needs and develop talent with engineering leadership • Oversee incident management end to end, including on-call rotations, escalation paths, incident command, postmortems, RCA, and preventative actions • Define and drive SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and observability standards • Champion reliability and operational excellence • Identify and implement process improvements across operational priorities, feature delivery, reliability, security, and cost efficiency • Guide and support the team’s day-to-day work • Coordinate a distributed team and support model across IST and US time zones • Ensure effective handoffs, coverage, and communication • Align infrastructure investments with business and compliance goals • Report on team health, reliability metrics, and operational performance • Assist engineering leadership with department-wide initiatives and roadmap planning

🎯 Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience as a team lead or manager in a DevOps/SRE environment • Proven experience leading and coordinating distributed teams across time zones, specifically IST and US, including on-call coverage and handoffs • Experience running an incident management process, including on-call, escalation, incident command, severity frameworks, and blameless postmortems and RCA completion • Strong hands-on background across multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Kubernetes (GKE & EKS), managed databases, object storage, networking, and IAM • Flexibility to work across multiple cloud providers • Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar • Experience with modern observability practices and tooling, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
