📋 Description

• Act as a hands-on technical expert and solution-shaping architecture contributor for cloud and data architecture • Partner with enterprise architects, senior architects, business leaders, and IT teams to define solution architectures • Support modernization initiatives aligned with performance, efficiency, and cost optimization • Partner with the Innovation Lab to explore Generative AI and Advanced Analytics and translate experimentation into practical delivery patterns • Influence architectural decisions and contribute to team standards and governance • Shape solution architectures aligned to a unified IT data strategy • Document target-state architectures, reference architectures, and key dependencies • Design and support modernization and migration of complex systems to scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures • Evaluate and prototype new technologies and applications and provide business-case recommendations • Operationalize architectural standards, best practices, and governance expectations • Collaborate with business and engineering teams on end-to-end solutions • Provide architectural guidance in process design, system orchestration, and enterprise integration • Champion security, resilience, and scalability across data platforms and solutions • Produce reusable patterns, decision documentation, and lessons learned • Support full-stack development teams through solution design and implementation

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience delivering data-intensive solutions, such as data engineering, analytics engineering, data platforms, BI, or related roles • At least 1 year of demonstrated solution design ownership for moderately complex initiatives, as an architect or senior engineer/technical lead responsible for end-to-end design, architectural trade-offs, and guiding implementation • Proven experience in multiple data-focused roles, including Data Engineer (ETL/ELT), Data Architect, Database Administrator, BI or Analytics Engineer, Data Science, data governance, or similar • Competency in architecture frameworks, performance optimization, availability, caching, monitoring, scalability, and security • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate architecture decisions clearly in distributed environments • Strong expertise in designing data and cloud architecture • Experience with systems such as Snowflake or Redshift • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and reporting solutions • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience • Nice to have: ETL/ELT pipeline design, orchestration, data quality controls, and batch/near real-time operations • Nice to have: Kafka or Kinesis streaming and event-driven architectures • Nice to have: API-first data access patterns, API lifecycle governance, versioning, security, and event-driven integration • Nice to have: Spark or comparable distributed compute • Nice to have: Data security and privacy practices including encryption, masking/tokenization, access controls, and auditability • Nice to have: FinOps, workload right-sizing, storage optimization, and performance engineering • Nice to have: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes or EKS • Nice to have: Applied AI and GenAI enterprise patterns • Nice to have: Java, microservices patterns, and third-party API integrations • Nice to have: AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification • Education: Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science or related field
