📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions. • Convert business requirements into efficient and accurate SQL code. • Perform data transformations, cleansing, validation, and enrichment. • Compose and schedule data scripts for insertion, updating, deletion, and movement operations. • Use transactions and isolation levels to ensure consistent results. • Design, generate, maintain, and validate reports against source data. • Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and unit testing. • Improve query performance and scalability using execution plans, statistics, and index analysis. • Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, reconcile discrepancies, and support data integrity initiatives. • Administer job automation and support ETL processes. • Document SQL logic, data dictionaries, and version histories. • Participate in sprint planning, refinements, and collaborative solution development.

🎯 Requirements

• More than 5 years of professional experience in SQL development. • Four or more years of practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL. • Strong expertise in crafting optimized queries, procedures, and scripts. • Solid understanding of SQL logical query processing, three-valued logic (NULL handling), and inner vs. outer join semantics. • Experience with stored procedures, triggers, indexing, query performance enhancement, execution plan analysis, statistics, sargable predicates, implicit conversions, and parameter sniffing. • Knowledge of transaction isolation levels, locking, row versioning, and NOLOCK data-accuracy risks. • Thorough understanding of relational database concepts and data normalization. • Proficiency with joins, subqueries, common table expressions (CTEs), aggregations, and window functions. • Experience with date/time data types, UTC and time-zone conversions, and audit-trail data. • Experience using Git for SQL artifacts. • Ability to interpret ERDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documents. • Experience writing unit tests and collaborating with quality assurance teams. • Familiarity with data export/import procedures, including bulk operations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Preferred: enterprise reporting tools; ThoughtSpot, Power BI, or Tableau; report migration; Agile/Scrum; data warehousing or ETL; DevOps or CI/CD for SQL deployments. • Plus: Life Sciences industry experience; GxP, FDA, and 21 CFR Part 11 familiarity; sensitive clinical data integrity, traceability, and confidentiality; clinical-trial, drug-safety, or regulatory-submission systems experience.
