📋 Description

• Design and build the Kubernetes platform across multiple self-hosted clusters • Operate self-hosted Kubernetes clusters end to end, including upgrades, CNI networking, storage, load balancing, and DNS • Provision and lifecycle-manage infrastructure with OpenTofu and Terragrunt • Write and review infrastructure modules and manage state and plan/apply workflows • Develop and maintain GitOps workflows with Argo CD using app-of-apps and Helm-based deployments • Operate and evolve core platform services including Harbor, OpenBao, and Zitadel • Build and improve platform observability with Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Alloy • Contribute to actionable alerting • Manage secrets, backups, and data services including CNPG/PostgreSQL and Barman • Partner with product engineering teams to migrate services from Ansible/VM-based deployments to Kubernetes • Define reusable deployment standards • Improve developer experience through documentation, templates, golden paths, and self-service platform capabilities • Troubleshoot platform issues across infrastructure, networking, and application layers as 2nd-level support • Participate in on-call duties to ensure stable platform operations

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps • Hands-on experience operating self-hosted/self-managed Kubernetes in production, including cluster upgrades, networking, storage, and troubleshooting without relying on a managed control plane • Daily GitOps practice using Git pull requests and Argo CD or Flux reconciliation • Solid Git fundamentals, including branching, reviews, and rebasing • Experience with monitoring and observability for distributed systems, such as Grafana, Prometheus/Mimir, and Loki • Scripting and automation skills, such as Nix and Bash • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and production deployment practices, including progressive rollouts, rollbacks, and health checks • Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a proactive ownership mindset • Very good written and spoken English skills • Completed IT apprenticeship or degree, or equivalent qualifications through professional experience (nice to have) • Experience with Talos Linux or other minimal/immutable Kubernetes operating systems • Bare-metal operations experience, including RAID/LVM storage, out-of-band access, and hardware lifecycle • Experience with secrets management, such as OpenBao/Vault and External Secrets Operator • Experience with PostgreSQL operators, such as CNPG, and backup/restore workflows • Prior involvement in large-scale infrastructure migrations • Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments • Must be located within the EU/EEA
