📋 Description

• Lead and develop QA Leads and, through them, a team of QA Automation engineers • Hire and onboard new QA Automation talent as the team scales • Set expectations and ownership for QA Automation coverage across product squads • Define and own the end-to-end quality automation strategy across products • Establish quality gates, acceptance criteria, and release-readiness standards • Make or inform go/no-go release decisions using test metrics and risk analysis • Drive release velocity while maintaining production health • Own the roadmap for UI, API, and performance automation frameworks and CI/CD integration • Lead automation architecture discussions and make final technical decisions on tooling and design • Drive performance testing initiatives • Champion AI use to improve QA efficiency, coverage, and tooling • Ensure regression and smoke suites are reliable, fast, and scalable • Partner with engineers to promote testable code and shared quality ownership • Define QA Automation processes and best practices • Track and report quality metrics to leadership • Oversee defect triage and root-cause analysis • Build and maintain monitoring for test health and stability

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in QA Automation, including 2+ years leading or managing QA Automation engineers • Strong hands-on automation background • Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining AI-powered tools and solutions for QA purposes • Hands-on experience leading performance testing projects • Python experience, including pytest • Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance, such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions • Track record of defining test strategies, quality metrics, and release processes for complex products • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; comfortable aligning engineering, product, and leadership • Fluent/Advanced English; Spanish is a strong plus • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Equivalent competencies in the listed requirements will also be considered
