📋 Description

• Maintain and enhance First Advantage’s key end-user-facing platform • Own software delivery from design through deployment, emphasizing modern frontend development • Design and develop applications based on documented business and system requirements • Write, edit, and debug code for assigned projects • Understand application operation, structure, and customer usage • Assist testing and support teams in resolving application issues • Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports • Mentor junior developers on technical patterns and coding challenges • Review designs and code and provide feedback and guidance • Own delivery schedules and work quality; provide effort estimates • Design for stability, scalability, and performance • Use test-driven development techniques • Develop and optimize high-volume, security-intensive applications • Collaborate with the Product Owner, Lead Architect, software architects, and globally distributed cross-functional teams • Respond to application outages as part of the regular on-call rotation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience • 5+ years of frontend software development experience • Working experience writing and deploying UI applications using React.js and backend applications in Node.js • Experience designing and developing micro-frontend and/or microservices systems with Node.js and NPM • Knowledge of RESTful API services • Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases • Experience developing and supporting mission-critical applications in a production environment • Proficiency writing unit tests and using mocking frameworks • Source control management experience in a team environment • Experience supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects • Experience solving technical issues through research and investigation • Availability for a regular team on-call rotation • Ability to work closely with software architects to create high-level applications • Ability to understand business requirements and create plans accordingly • Preferred: knowledge of software application security vulnerabilities • Preferred: experience incorporating LLM usage into the software development lifecycle • Preferred: AWS cloud technology stacks including S3, SQS, CloudFront, CloudFormation, AppSync, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ECS, Lambda, and OpenSearch • Preferred: UI testing experience using Cypress and TestCafe • Preferred: proficiency using Git in a collaborative development environment • Ability to work independently and drive projects from inception to delivery • Ability to work with onshore and offshore teams using MS Teams, Zoom, JIRA/ADO, and Confluence • Ability to provide accurate estimates and manage priorities, deadlines, and deliveries in Kanban/Scrum workflows
