📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance ABAP components including function modules, classes, CDS views, and enhancements • Own and modernize internal SAP test environments for current connectors and upcoming public cloud/BTP integrations • Architect outbound interfaces using OData, standard and generic DataSources, ODP/ODQ delta frameworks, and RFC connections • Optimize throughput and reliability across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes by resolving extraction bottlenecks and delta synchronization issues • Analyze SAP HANA and traditional database structures to improve data pipeline performance • Partner with engineering, support, and customers to translate business requirements into technical architectures • Troubleshoot connectivity, authorization, and configuration challenges in customer SAP environments • Establish technical design standards, interface specifications, and best-practice documentation • Evaluate and integrate SAP Datasphere, BTP, and other emerging SAP technologies • Serve as the SAP specialist within a team of Java developers

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP development experience • Strong classic and modern ABAP, ABAP OO, and ABAP for HANA skills • Deep knowledge of SAP outbound interfacing • OData v2 and v4 service design, SEGW, performance, and security • Knowledge of SAP extractors, standard and generic DataSources, delta handling, ODP/ODQ, and CDS-based extraction • Knowledge of RFC function modules, BAPIs, destinations, and tRFC/qRFC • Solid working knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA, including data models and extraction options • Good knowledge of SQL, query performance and tuning, SAP HANA, and relational database concepts • Understanding of SAP data models and key modules such as FI/CO, MM, and SD • Experience with SAP authorizations and technical user/role setup for interfaces • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Good communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders • Fluent in English • Experience in code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing • Ability to use conversational AI systems such as Claude, ChatGPT, and internal chatbots to support SDLC artifacts • Bonus: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Java development; data integration/ELT tools; data warehousing; SLT, SAP Datasphere, BW, and SAP BTP
