📋 Description

• Contribute to global strategy, business plans, and Company policies involving medical, safety, and therapeutic business development across the APAC region • Support executive- and medical-level customer engagement with local and regional biotech and biopharma sponsors • Establish relationships with customer medical and executive representatives and identify therapeutic business development opportunities • Collaborate with Strategy, Operations, and Business Development teams to align Fortrea expertise with sponsor opportunities and create operational strategies for trials • Represent Fortrea as local executive sponsor as needed • Lead process and continuous improvement activities for Biopharma Medical and Scientific initiatives • Identify and execute integrated development opportunities across business units • Promote Fortrea’s visibility through publications, presentations, and panel participation at industry and scientific meetings • Present medical/scientific capabilities to clients and develop high-level client-facing relationships, including Partnership Alliance governance committees • Work with Marketing, Inside Sales, and Business Development on client opportunities and technical positioning of new services • Develop and troubleshoot client and investigator relationships • Lead KOL/investigator network development and build consultant networks • Lead Medical and Scientific Disease Area Strategy development across therapeutic areas • Ensure high-quality contributions to proposals, bid defenses, and proactive client interactions • Provide mentoring and assist with supervision of medical directors, section heads, operations and strategy directors, and others • Approve personal/vacation time and professional meetings • Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the therapeutic area • Serve as an ambassador for process improvement and guide long-term strategic client relationships • Provide scientific strategic leadership and clinical/medical expertise to Fortrea departments and project teams • Ensure staff can meet client safety-monitoring needs • Oversee training-module development and provide therapeutic-area training • Participate in training related to drug development and good clinical practice guidelines • Develop, review, and revise protocols, case report forms, training materials, project tools, analysis plans, clinical trial reports, and new drug applications • Assist with bid-defense and customer-engagement materials • Participate in sponsor consulting, feasibility discussions, and project risk assessment activities • Interact with inter-departmental and external consultants • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• MDE with residency training (or equivalent specialization) with substantial knowledge of drug development and extensive global clinical research project leadership and management experience within the pharmaceutical industry • Relevant and equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements • 15 or more years in global drug development (pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO) • Recognized as a clinical research leader within/across therapeutic areas • Demonstrated strategic thinking, focus and problem-solving ability • Substantial leadership and management experience at organizational, cross-functional and project portfolio management levels • Deep knowledge of integrated global drug development • Preferred: MD who has completed a specialty fellowship, with global Pharma managerial and organizational leadership experience at a portfolio level across multiple therapeutic and functional areas • Preferred: 3 or more years in clinical / academic practice • Ability to travel internationally on occasion and locally within the region • Approximately 30% local travel expected; 80% of that travel requires overnight stays
