📋 Description

• Answer calls professionally and follow the Interpreter’s Code of Conduct. • Be prepared to take notes during calls. • Maintain familiarity with industry-specific vocabulary, particularly healthcare and medical terminology. • Render all messages accurately and completely without adding, omitting, or substituting information. • Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpreting assignments. • Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient (LFP) clients and the client by providing accurate and complete interpretation of the message. • Apply professional standards of practice. • Participate in internal professional training programs. • Pursue additional professional certifications as needed. • Communicate and report to your team leader. • Comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting (VRI).

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (French) and native in the target language (Italian). • Minimum 1 year of over-the-phone (OPI) interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology. • Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus. • International healthcare certifications are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA). • High school diploma in your native language. • High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity. • Excellent communication, active listening, note-taking, and short-term memory retention skills. • Technical requirements: This is a fully remote position; you must meet the technical specifications for your computer and connectivity.
