• As a freelance partner, you'll manage events as your own business ventures with full autonomy. • Develop event strategies for weddings, corporate events, and lifestyle markets • Secure premium venues across Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Constantia • Consult with stakeholders to create immersive Winelands experiences • Lead event execution: logistics, troubleshooting (weather, load-shedding) • Oversee staff, vendors, and security • Execute marketing campaigns to maximize attendance and profitability • Manage influencer partnerships: identify, negotiate, coordinate, and track ROI • Own P&L (R50,000–R500,000+), including marketing and influencer budgets • Analyze financial data and calculate profit share
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or related field. • CMP designation is a plus. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport (essential) • 5+ years of progressive event management experience in the Cape Town /Winelands region. • Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-budget events with P&L responsibility. • Demonstrated experience in marketing and promoting events across various channels, including proven success managing influencer partnerships and social media campaigns. • Established relationships with vendors and local influencers/content creators in the region is highly desirable. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings • Ability to travel regularly within Cape Town and surrounding Winelands • Physically able to assist with event setup and breakdown when required • Own laptop and access to necessary tools/software for freelance work
• Profit Share: 30–50% of net profits per event (revenue minus direct event costs: venues, catering, marketing, influencer fees, staffing, etc.) • Performance Bonuses: Additional bonuses for exceeding attendance targets, securing sponsorships, or achieving exceptional client satisfaction • Invoicing: Per event upon project completion and reconciliation • Autonomy: Manage your schedule, tools, and workflow • Support: We provide the brand, client leads (or platform), and operational support where needed • Tools: Own laptop, software subscriptions, and reliable transport required
