📋 Description

• Lead the engineering team while spending approximately three-quarters of your time coding hands-on • Take ownership of challenging features and architectural topics in agent, RAG, and workflow systems • Write technical plans and help shape technical design decisions • Prioritize the technical roadmap with the CTO and drive the technical vision forward • Coordinate teamwork and support engineers in design discussions, reviews, and feedback • Conduct technical interviews and contribute to hiring decisions • Continuously improve the team’s development processes, particularly for agentic workflows • Track and evaluate new developments in LLMs, retrieval, and agents, and bring suitable approaches into the product • Communicate issues early and explain technical decisions clearly to Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success, and Sales

🎯 Requirements

• Built and operated LLM systems in production • Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, tool calling, and AI agents • Built, shipped, and operated backend systems over the long term in production • Strong proficiency in at least one of the following languages: TypeScript, Python, or Go • Experience providing technical leadership as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or in a comparable role • Experience testing and evaluating nondeterministic systems • Experience using coding agents in day-to-day work • Experience leading effectively in a remote environment • Knowledge of tenant isolation, access controls, and secure software development • Excellent German and English language skills
