📋 Description

• Lead and oversee commissioning activities for EHV, HV, and LV protection, control, and automation systems for substation projects • Serve as overall site lead commissioning manager for EHV/HV/LV protection, control, and automation substation project execution • Act as GEV site representative for the customer and maintain customer relationships and satisfaction • Establish site commissioning, environmental health and safety, and quality assurance plans • Coordinate with functions, stakeholders, third-party agencies, and subcontractors • Determine testing and commissioning sequences and develop construction completion schedules with the Site Manager • Review approved schematic drawings and main relay settings • Ensure testing engineers are authorized, test formats are available, and equipment has valid calibration certificates • Report non-conformances related to component failures and generate NCPs • Recommend field changes beneficial to plant operations or commissioning efficiency • Prepare final commissioning reports and monthly progress reports • Ensure safe testing procedures, permits, method statements, risk assessments, LOTO, and high-risk activity requirements are followed • Maintain communication between site commissioning and support groups • Develop red-markup schematic modifications for as-built drawings • Report ROE for completed project activities • Control and oversee CE responsibilities • Support the ITO team with commissioning-related site visits and technical reports for substation control and protection systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and/or Power System Engineering or related fields • Registered in Saudi Council of Engineering • Minimum 10 years as a Testing & Commissioning Engineer working in EHV substation projects • Strong technical knowledge of electrical system EHV/HV/MV/LV equipment protection systems • Must be willing to move within Saudi Arabia as per business requirements • Understanding of IEC and local electrical regulations • Testing and commissioning coordination and transparent communication with customers and consultants • Knowledge of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and hot-run performance testing processes • Safety awareness and process of working in live substations • Knowledge of testing documentation and reporting processes • Fault analysis and diagnostics ability in wiring • Knowledge of site management, environmental health and safety, security, housekeeping, fire protection, and quality assurance policies • Advanced main relays testing and configuration knowledge for GE, ABB, Siemens, SEL, and SE equipment
