📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala • Build and enhance distributed systems that process large-scale data workloads • Develop integrations with cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using cloud-native identity services • Build and maintain data pipelines supporting ingestion, transformation, and analytics • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions • Ensure system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code • Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud-based environments • Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, component, and integration testing

🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Scala and experience with sbt for build management • Solid understanding of functional programming principles and best practices • Experience with JSON serialization and deserialization frameworks such as Circe • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Knowledge of cloud authentication and authorization mechanisms, including IAM, STS, AssumeRole, and WebIdentity • Experience integrating with AWS SDKs, particularly Amazon S3 and AWS STS • Experience working with Google BigQuery and Google Dataflow • Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL • Experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming using FS2 and cats-effect • Familiarity with distributed messaging platforms such as Google Pub/Sub • Strong testing experience, including unit, component, and integration testing • Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and cloud-native applications • Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Minimum 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend engineering, data platforms, or data-intensive systems • Experience with Finagle or similar RPC frameworks • Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration and workflow management tools • Experience deploying and operating applications in Kubernetes environments • Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud-native architectures • Experience building highly observable and resilient data processing systems
