📋 Description

• Complete a three-year Small Animal Surgery Residency structured around ANZCVS Fellowship requirements • Gain supervised experience across orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurological and emergency surgical cases • Progressively assume greater surgical responsibility • Collaborate with specialists in Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology and Diagnostic Imaging • Participate in a dedicated 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care service • Attend weekly multidisciplinary case rounds and regular journal club during protected working hours • Participate in clinical discussion, direct mentorship and feedback • Teach University of Melbourne veterinary students • Undertake multidisciplinary rotations, externships, research and scholarly activity • Complete formal progress reviews under a College-approved training program

🎯 Requirements

• Veterinarian with strong clinical foundations • Enthusiasm for surgery • Commitment to specialist training • Previous internship or referral experience is highly regarded • ANZCVS Membership and research experience are advantageous but not essential • Must be eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria • Cover letter and updated CV required
