📋 Description

• Draft op-eds, speeches, presentations, and written pieces with the CEO • Prepare leadership for panels, conferences, and sector dialogues • Support other organizational leaders with communications materials • Create, implement, and manage a comprehensive communications strategy • Maintain messaging, talking points, boilerplate, tone, visuals, and narrative consistency • Manage a content calendar covering milestones, government engagements, donor cycles, and learning outputs • Own the annual speaking and event calendar and track thought-leadership ROI • Produce annual reports and organizational collateral end to end • Direct external designers, photographers, and videographers • Build production systems, calendars, review processes, and templates • Develop proactive media engagement and manage external PR counsel • Create media moments around milestones, launches, and evidence releases • Prepare leaders for interviews and press opportunities • Coordinate media and government relations with the Advocacy and Government Engagement team • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming press inquiries • Own the Healthy Learners online presence across its website and channels • Lead capture of impact stories, photos, and video with field teams • Use analytics to sharpen communications strategy and extend reach • Translate data and evidence into briefs, infographics, and summaries • Improve internal knowledge sharing through tools and templates • Maintain quality standards and collaborate with communications and Development writing teams • Partner with Development on donor materials, impact reporting, and campaign moments • Manage the communications function’s day-to-day operations with the Chief of Staff and CEO

🎯 Requirements

• At least 6–9 years of professional experience in strategic communications, public relations or content production • Experience ideally in global health, education, or international development • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field • Master's degree a plus • Portfolio of flagship publications personally produced end to end • Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and storytelling for donors, governments, media, and the public • Strong design sensibility and comfort with tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite • Ability to direct professional designers • Strong project management skills, including managing freelancers, budgets, and multi-stakeholder review processes • Experience translating technical or programmatic information into accessible, compelling materials • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures • Deep commitment to Healthy Learners' mission
